GigTripper is an online platform specifically designed for the Live Music Industry. We hold a database of over 1,000 live music venues from across Australia, and allow artists/bookers to search for venues based on the venues location, capacity and venue type. Gig requests can then be sent to the venues right from within the platform and all are accompanied by an Artist Profile, providing venues with the confidence that all requests received via GigTripper will contain all of the artist information the venue needs.
GigTripper was born out of pure frustration! We were both tired of the inefficient methods of booking gigs. We had mountains of emails to and from venues, we were engaging in hours of online research to find the perfect venue and support acts, and we were drowning in spreadsheets trying to keep track of all of our information.
We were sure we could come up with a solution to improve the workflow, reduce the time it takes to plan and manage gigs/tours, break down the barriers to independent artists getting gigs, expose venue options more easily and ultimately, get more artists out on the road playing shows!
And so, we built a platform, we worked with a countless number of artists and industry experts to fine tune it and now we’re really excited to be sharing it with you!
We're currently in the final stages of testing and will be launching the BETA phase in mid 2019.
The people behind GigTripper are; Jen Barratt – who has been representing artists for the past 10 yrs, with a professional background in software design and implementation, and Alex Hayes a senior web developer and a musician who has been playing the live scene for over 20yrs.
